Up
Today I looked up at lots of things.
I gazed up the nostrils of George Washington's bronze horse in the Boston Public Garden, I stretched my neck to take in the steeple of the Old South Church silhouetted against a clear blue sky, I gawked at the golden dome of the Massachusetts State House, and squinted at the top of the Prudential Tower. But this is the sight I most enjoyed looking up at -- the John Hancock Tower in Boston's Back Bay.
Yesterday evening after we arrived back in the city, I took a photograph of the bright red construction crane across the street from our apartment, with the moon coming up next to it. There was also an airplane zooming overhead that had just taken off from Logan Airport. A perfect "Up" shot, but wrong date, and not quite in focus! Too bad.
