Canal Day 11: Orange And Blue.....

.... but not a kingfisher. As I was saying, there's always something orange and blue even when we don't see kingfishers. I have 2 images to fit that description today.

We cast off early to queue to go through the Harecastle tunnel. We just missed one set of boats going our way, but that was fine. We had an hour and a half to wait but we were first in the queue. When we stopped on the other side for lunch a noticed we had an extra passenger! This shield bug had made the journey with us!

The Extra is our boat in line for the 2528m Thomas Telford Tunnel.
