P and A and the RA

Paul, Anne and I went to catch the Hockney at the Royal Academy. His iPad sketches of France have some lovely marks and a terrific sense of space. Brightly coloured, they look far better in print than on screens (where colours jump back and forward in an unnecessary manner).

On the way back to the car we passed through the Burlington Arcade where this mirror installation promoted the new Bond film.

They came back for lunch and to experience the Roscoff salad I featured yesterday (together with mussels in a seafood broth and a maraschino cherry tart).
