Fly Past

We continued on our canal boat holiday today. The weather was a bit more inclement than the previous few days but we managed to avoid getting very wet and saw no noticeable rain this afternoon.

Our route today took us from Uppermill to our end destination of Portland Basin in Ashton-under-Lyme. Highlights en route today included a section where the canal passed directly under a pylon and more impressively this kingfisher spotted by Annie's brother. After initially flying off, it paused to be photographed before giving the back of the boat a flypast.

We're treated ourselves to a takeaway supper, yummy. Another great day on the canals.
