Central Heating From Faraway

I think I'm right in saying the heat for the central heating for this house comes from a hospital about a kilometer away.  Standard for here.

Fern in German means distant & wärme means heat.

It was a day and a half today.  A very exciting "HELP! We've implemented stuff that should only go live on the 25th and we've knackered our application. HELP!"  I took a good few hours but it was all back to the way it should be as quickly as we could make it.  There is no Control + Z on the mainframe (which, if you don't use a PC, is the command to undo the last thing you did).  

So, that was very exciting, for us mainframers. And the main thing was we didn't make a fuss, we just helped and documented everything.  The only time a boss was involved was in the status meeting where we could tell them that everything was tickety-boo.
