Rhino

Mounted on the westwall of the Informatics Building of Edinburgh University, this rhino head always looks out of place to me at least! The plaque beneath (at ankle height) states,
"This sculpture by William Darrel is in celebration of the cultural richness of Jim Haynes' paperback bookshop (1959-67) and of the merger between the University of Edinburgh and Edinburgh College of Art (2011) which extended that richness many-fold". Strange connection!
