Sunset Lake

After a relaxed start to the day we finally had the van packed, the house sorted and we set off for the mountains.
It was a great drive with the sun shining and very clear air. As the sun got lower we started looking for somewhere to stop and after a couple of false trails Jan spotted a sign to a picnic spot. We swung off the main road and after a couple of hundred meters of gravel road we found the spot featured in this photo.
It was very windy and only 8C, not unusual for autumn in these mountains.
As usual on these trips the fresh air seems to induce a happy tiredness. The bed is calling…
