Giant Reflections
It has been one hell of a weekend and another super busy day. Started out with a rowing time trial race with expert coaching from Paladian. What can't she do!
Next it was off to the inaugural Latin American Fiesta at Stepney, an inner suburb of Adelaide. It was a superb day and too many people turned up. This meant P standing in long queues of people for food while I snapped a few scenes. It was my aim to blip a scene from this Latin Festival, but it was not to be.
We then moved on to an Open Garden called The White House, on Cross Road, Kingswood, just a few doors down from where I once lived for a number of years. It was nice to be back in the old area again, and the property was very similar in many ways. There were interesting garden sculptures and formal beds but nothing that truly grabbed me. Oh well, time to go home.
Heading up Fullarton Rd, just past the race course, (Paladian was driving), I was still hoping to get some form of blip from the car window. As we crossed Greenhill Road, I noted this massive reflection of the former ETSA building (now a block of luxury apartments and penthouses) in the window of this corner office building. I only got one chance at this shot and so it was a fluke, or maybe fortunate that I had a high shutter speed set in the camera!
As it turned out, it was the best photo of the day - as in most interesting shot. On returning home we did some gardening and P planted her various plants from Tupelo Grove (yesterday), while I swept up acorns and pruned the huge oak tree in our garden. It was a very long and tiring day!
Bigger reflections.
After I published my orange shield bug yesterday, I later added a few photos from Tupelo Grove to my folio. See my blipfolio Misc. and then click right.
