Ticking over

Josh's birthday is coming up this week, and we met up in the park for a small pre-birthday gathering (as the day itself will be a working day).
Richard, Eben and I went off to explore one of the play areas at the top of the park, and I like this image for the quiet and generally contented absorption on each of their faces.
Later Eben and Luca stayed over with us; Ruth and I put them to bed, and then she and Josh went into town to sample a small outdoor festival - perhaps the first  substantial event they've been to, of that kind, since Covid began. They were amazed to find themselves enjoying some live music...
