Rock of Ages

9/11 20th Anniversary was sensitively commemorated across the mass media today.

As Emma Raducanu beat Leylah Fernandez in NYC this evening I was impressed by both these young tennis stars breakthrough performances. Congratulations to Emma and great respect to Leylah for her magnanimity in defeat.

On our family front we took advantage of our recent relocation to host all four of our grandchildren and their parents for a sunny Wiltshire pub lunch. We met near Avebury and after lunch explored the inspiring stones and setting of the Avebury Stone Circle.

Today our grandchildren were aged 2, 4, 6 and 8. Tomorrow the 4 becomes 5! Life marches on!!
