Proclamation

Today I attended the proclamation of the new King at Gloucester’s Shire Hall and signed the book of condolence in the Cathedral.

On tv we watched the Queen’s cortège travel through familiar roads on its way to Edinburgh.The large turnout on the roadside surprised me.

A further surprise was seeing, on line, a student flatmate 45 years after our last meeting. My other flatmate and his wife were staying overnight with us. A lovely catch up all round!
