Ripon Cathedral

Time to return home. I chose a slightly different route back, taking us down Sutton Bank. We stopped first at the Visitors Centre at the top for a walk to take in the view and have some refreshment. 

Our plan was a fish and chip lunch in Skipton but time had moved on so we stopped at Ripon instead, eventually finding a fish and chip restaurant. It also enabled me to have a trip down memory lane as we walked by the Cathedral. This is my "home" cathedral and it was where I was ordained. 

On to Skipton for a short stop for petrol and, we thought, a visit to a craft centre. Unfortunately we found that it had closed. 

Back home late afternoon. A good few days.
