Gorgeous Red Squirrels

A much better day than expected. We had a bit of a mooch around Callander in the morning and then had lunch at the Old Bank which was nice. We took the long way round to Aberfoyle through the Port of Menteith and then on to the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park for a walk. We were only rained on once and it was very short lived. We eventually found our way to the wildlife hide and spent ages just watching the red squirrels and birds. There were a couple of youngsters who obviously hadn’t worked out how to get into the feeders and they spent their time chasing the other squirrels around the tree hoping that they dropped the nuts that they were eating. This one here decided to give up on the nuts and tried the fungi instead.
