Not as forecast

The weather was forecast to be cooler today with showers in the morning and heavy rain and thunderstorms in the afternoon. We decided to do a walk along a very quiet road to the next village and back along the river path. It was really warm and dry and we very pleased to reach the shade down by the river. Afternoon filled with small jobs plus booking boiler service and chimney sweep for next month.
Next door continues to have work done and today the velux windows were installed in the roof, they just got finished when the heavy rain arrived.
The tour of Britain bike race comes past the cottage tomorrow afternoon so I have had to move the jeep as we are in a no parking zone from midnight tonight.
