Fading beauty

Both dogs have gone to their surrogate mums and I have skipped off to spend a weekend with one of my oldest friends L ..... We were at school together in Yorkshire while our RAF fathers were stationed there many moons ago! These tulips are sitting in a vase in her living room and she was almost going to put them out but I thought they looked lovely and succeeded in getting them a stay of execution. For various reasons we haven't been able to have a proper catch up for ages and so we are busy chatting, putting the world to rights and enjoying a glass of wine together at the same time.
