Cotton
For HeartFreek’s challenge.
I’ve collected the cotton reels over the years and when we moved down to Yorkshire, close to Skipton, my friend and fellow Blipper ‘greengirl’ sent me the lovely old box as a gift. The Dewhurst/Sylko Mill building still stands and is now apartments, businesses and council offices.

This morning after Amelia and Lucy left for school we set off home. The girls were sad - especially Amelia who gets quite emotional but she held back the tears.
We had such a lovely time with them, so much laughter and interesting conversations about things seen through the eyes of a 5 1/2 and a 9 year old.
Lucy’s favourite word just now is - embarrassing. She made us laugh yesterday. After John had slept off his slight hangover he went to pick the girls up from school. He gave Lucy a kiss and in front of all the other parents at the school gate she said, ‘Daddy, have you been drinking?’ Haha!
Talk about embarrassing! Johnnie tried to wriggle out of that one saying loudly that he and Mummy had had a great time at the wedding.
He rarely has too much to drink, only after a works wrap do or at a wedding.
The extra is Lucy ‘teaching’ Granddad how to play ukulele :-)
Time to watch telly now then an early night.
Thanks for all the lovely comments, stars and hearts over the last few days, they are so appreciated.
Goodnight ;-)x
