Construction Site
Today was all about the train journey back home.
Two things were really obvious: the Swiss railways are well organized (every train change went smoothly and on time), and they are one huge building site, their infrastructure is getting modernized everywhere, from train stations to cables, tracks and tunnels. This blip shows a small part of the Albula Tunnel building site, they are drilling a new and bigger, almost 6 km long tunnel alongside the old one there.
(Sorry about the reflection, I had to take this photo through the train window).
As soon as I was on a German train, it became just as obvious that this country does not invest enough in its railways. Due to a defective railway switch, and then technical problems with our engine, the journey took longer than planned.
But I am finally home now, back with P and the cats. And that’s wonderful.
