Clouds bubbling up

The track beyond the village of Mantet Is only open twice a year. One of those days is to allow people to drive high up the mountain in 4x4s to attend a religious festival known locally as an aplec. There is a black Madonna perched in a niche in a rock at 2,200 m on the ridge near the Spanish border and each year there is a mass. We took the opportunity to take the road and walk the ridge and look down into Spain although we only had glimpses as the cloud was bubbling up. Nevertheless it was a lovely walk.
