Definite signs
.... of Autumn.
In the garden, Colchicum are appearing in greater numbers, here Colchicum x agrippinum, always one of the first but as it produces several flowers in succession it's also one of the best. Add in smaller leaves than all the large flowered forms and it's a great garden plant, preferring a sunny site.
In the kitchen - see extra pic - the first crop of Bramble Jelly jars are now full :-)
It's been a day heavy on admin, mostly around Ruth's support and the flat she's interested in. The online meeting this morning with senior health managers was little more than a fact confirming exercise. There'll now be a professionals meeting where hopefully a route to funding will be identified but I suspect that everyone will think it's someone else's responsibility :-/ That said, one of the professionals who can't be ignored is the strongest advocate and can clearly identify the need ..... but as a tertiary service, has no spending power. We wait. We've booked another viewing of the flat for the day I take her back to Birmingham next week. I'm excited to see it. If anyone reading this has knowledge or experience of using personal injury trust monies to purchase property for the beneficiary to live in - please contact me. We're looking for advice.
