New frock Friday

I do like a new frock (or two) in September and this one has had its first outing today for our first day with students. I wasn’t teaching anybody them - in fact, I don’t teach anyone until Tuesday because of how my lessons fall on Monday. My day was a lengthy and fairly productive department meeting, some meeting and greeting of students in for testing and finally resolving a delivery issue. What I didn’t manage to do was sort my office out since the contractors’ ‘rearrangement’ or contemplate who I will be teaching next week. I’ll get my head round the second of those this weekend and there will be time next week to sort the office. At least the two day week has eased us in gently.
