Remembering the First World War
Our holiday weekend continued with a rail trip to Southampton and then on to Bournemouth. Bournemouth to Swanage was by open top bus and included a trip on the Sandbanks chain ferry. Next was a trip on the Swanage preserved steam railway to Corfe Castle. Lunch was followed by a visit to the Bovington Tank Museum. The blip is from the museum which covers 120 years of the use of tanks and military vehicles. Very thought provoking, particularly the most recent display depicting our troops in Afghanistan.
