New encounter

If we apply human relationships to these two dogs, Bertie met with his (much older) cousin once removed today. It was a steep learning curve for Bertie, and Duke was very patient and long-suffering. Duke was the perfect dog to support Bertie with his social skills and after an initial few minutes while Bertie kept quite a nervous distance between himself and his BIG cousin, he grew in confidence. An hour later he was trying to encourage Duke to play by biting his tail. Eventually, Duke had had enough and gave a deep “ruff” to warn Bertie that enough was enough. A lesson well learned, thank you Duke.
