Feeding on the Fuchsia

This morning we took Purdy to the vets for her annual MOT and vaccinations. She passed with flying colours and the vet described her as a little superstar as she made no fuss at all.

Back in the garden this very small and slender hoverfly, possibly Melangyna Cincta, was feeding on the anther of a fuchsia bloom.
