Leucozona Glaucia
I spent the morning in Morecambe as I had to take the car over for its annual service and MOT. It was very overcast and surprisingly cool and I took no pictures worth sharing.
On returning to Grange the sun came out and there were insects all over the Golden Rod flowers. This one caught my eye as I had never before noticed a blue 'hoverfly'. Having taken its picture I came inside to consult my newly acquired copy of Brock's Insect Guide and have come to the conclusion that it is a Leucozona Glaucia.
