A Paradisiacal Peacock

If the bird of paradise was an actual bird instead of a flower...it just might be a peacock. What feather colors...whatta tail...whatta squawk...and...whatta cute little bonnet on its head.

I went to pick up our last half flat of strawberries. They're down to 4 dollars for the 1/2 flat. Still red...still pretty...still tasty. Plus...there's always a chance that you get to see the peacocks. BONUS!

After a little shopping, I went out to the seashore about 4 p.m. 3 guys from Michigan were cleaning fish, so the lazy shore birds came flying in...looking for handouts. To their credit...the Michigan boys DID NOT feed them their fish scraps. Good for them.

The other birds I snapped are on my FLICKR PAGE. I just love being out at the water...even if the day has been less than ideal. Not much sun again.

On a sad note...5 years ago today...my momma died. We had a sweet tea in her honor today. A wonderful woman, mother, and person. No question where she is. Let's just say that I know she is looking down on us. Miss you Mom.
