Early morning sunlight
After an excellent night’s sleep (previously having had caffeinated coffee at 17.30, eating well past 8 and late exposure to blue light iPad) I woke refreshed and energised at 6.30. Early morning walk to Morrison’s past the kingfisher nest and this wonderful patch of post dawn light on the river bank.
Breakfast, which I don’t routinely have and then a yoga class which because on this occasion we were all regulars S led a more than usually demanding session, at one point describing a posture as “acrobatic”. I slept deeply for 20 minutes in the afternoon as a result.
Family round for tea/supper, relaxed and sleepy after a day at the seaside in Troon. Islay dog just managed to find the energy to lick the plates before they went into the dish washer.
Latest advice from son # 1 is that I should use the sauna in the gym frequently, saunas have, apparently, been proven to mitigate against everything from Covid to neuro cognitive decline. Who knew. The Finns I suppose.
