Battle of Roslin

Bank holiday for me which was great as I could have a very relaxed day after yesterday.

In the afternoon I went for a walk to mobile the legs and find geocaches. I chose a loop near Roslin. I chose it as there was a 2m waterfall on the map but it was too far from the path and I didn't want to descend the steep bank. After walking over the Bilston Glen Viaduct I arrived at this monument to the Battle of Roslin. 

Not surprisingly it was to commemorate a Scottish victory against the English that took place in 1303
