Homeward bound Devon and Dorset
This morning we ate our last lovely breakfast at The Duchess of Cornwall and packed the cases and car for a final time. After a quick look around a couple of gift shops in Poundbury, we hit the road for our long journey home. We decided to stop at a National Trust on the way to make the most of the day and chose Montacute House as it was only a slight detour from our route and looked the best option. It was a good choice and was beautiful from the outside as well as inside. We had a wander around, ate some lunch and I bought a few more gifts in the shop (why do I always leave this to the last minute?!).
We chose to keep to the A roads on the way home and on the whole it was a good journey. At one point we saw a person walking around with a box on their head (???).
We had a really enjoyable holiday but I'm keeping everything crossed that we can go to Rhodes again next year!
