The Irwell

I love this view along the Irwell, which you can see if you cross the bridge next to Scene going from Spinningfields into Salford. (Or, indeed, the other way.)

I was crossing just after breakfast with Milly at The Bagel Factory and just before going to meet my folks for a coffee before they set off home. I opted for the Deli Lama, so that my mum could see the cathedral, and also so that we could sit in the morning sun on Bexley Square.

After that, it was back to work before I drove up to Kirkby Lonsdale for an evening's music making, trying to remember how Yoss was using The Drop, yesterday.

I also decided to post this piece up onto SoundCloud. It's something I worked on at the weekend, using 'wavetable synthesis' to process some sounds taken from a railway station: a fast train; ticket machine (accept); and ticket machine (decline). And nothing else!
