The sun was sparkling on the wet sand as the tide went out. In the opposite direction the colours were quite different.with Bass Rock appearing  to be snow covered due to all the guano of thousands of nesting sea birds.  Just visible beside the Rock is “Pole Star” which was laying buoys off the Rock before moving towards Dunbar where it continued replacing buoys.
