The Final Control

The White Rose took place on Skipwith Common today. A tricky heathland to the South of York.

We had early starts which was just as well in the warm conditions. I enjoyed my run - having planned on this area it helped to know which controls could be tricky. Richard decided it was not his day when he made a couple f mistakes and decided rather than spend a long time out he retired. We are competing in the York City race tomorrow so he can hopefully have a better run.

After I finished I wandered back to the finish and took a few photos. This is club member Dave H finishing strongly.
