Minimalist Abstract

Just as I was sitting down to write something, David, our contractor, showed up for a beer and discussion. In a couple of weeks, David and his crew are going to start with our master bathroom, covering up the hated rocks in the shower  and putting in a new wall hung toilet. He came by to take pictures of the bathroom.

We felt like we had joined the Ministry of Funny Walks* this morning with Kathy...all designed to help with balance. John, who has always had good balance was shocked at how little  he has now. With a broken leg and a lower back injury (and a very stiff body) I wasn't  surprised. As Kathy says, "if you don't use it you lose it." I was surprised that my balance was as good as it was considering the fact that I wasn't able to talk the doctor out of prescribing a blood pressure medication that makes me dizzy. Maybe I'll just have to talk myself out of being dizzy....

Kathy had a way of making it fun. We'll see if we find new and unique ways to walk down our long hall....

Dana and Jim's bathroom is all finished except that David ordered two sinks and only got one. Nobody can figure out where the other one is so today he said he ordered another one from a different place. He'll buy whichever one comes first. This is the way a lot of things seem to be happening. We did see two large truckloads of lumber on the road today...the first construction rather than destruction materials I've seen around here. Hope it's a good omen....
