Mushrooms and moss
Went for a walk up a small hill outside Beauly this afternoon which boasts a pictish fort near the top (Dun Mor, above Belladrum). The fort itself doesn't look much, just a rocky top covered with grass and broom, but some of the forest on the slopes was lovely. There was a deep carpet of moss with ferns growing on it and sunlight filtering through the trees enhanced the greens. The extra is a peacock butterfly that was sunbathing on the path.
