Almost finished

George and his friend have almost finished the courtyard. They have done a very good job and worked really hard for the last two days. We have kept them supplied with hot and cold drinks, biscuits and cakes. Every time I ask them if they want anything else, they always ask for more iced water. It has been hot work for them but fortunately today there has been some cloud cover which has taken the edge off the high temperatures.

I called in at the insurance office this morning to see if we could get cover for our new bellringing Association. We had an influx of newcomers at the French conversation group. For months there have only been four or five of us but today there were nine.
