What a day!
I had a lovely walk up to the hospital to have a 24 hour heart monitor attached. It was a good start when the nurse greeted me with “Goodness you look so young”. But when she did an ECG reading before attaching the monitor she did say that it was a good job my GP had referred me. She was not allowed to comment further but my heart must be acting older than I look. I walked back home and had no sooner settled down than my phone rang. It was the Medical Specialist Group offering me my hip replacement on 7 September! But we agreed I had to turn it down until I had seen the cardiologist.
So it looks as if I will need to organise some sort of suitable chair etc. And another problem I’ve just thought of is having to come off Benepali for some time. I’m stiff enough now!!
Hey Ho….
Update… I’ve just walked along to St John ‘s shop and they can sell or hire everything I need. Still no idea how the medical socks will get themselves on but that’s the least of my worries. So happy bunny now; until I see the cardiologist of course…
