Yellow Garden Spider ~ Deux

Another yellow garden spider spotted on this morning's walk. This one is a bit smaller than the previous one - but probably still a female (??). And this time we have a ventral rather than a dorsal view! Just to cover all the bases... It's definitely big spider season out there now. I have stolen this quotation from a comment on a Facebook post today:

"The orb spiders have taken up their posts in the unmowed fields of August ... across the swathes of grass, jewelweed, goldenrod, milkweed, and burdock behind the sagging barn."

Meanwhile! Thank you - all of you - SO MUCH for the congratulations, stars and hearts on the occasion of yesterday's 2500th blip. The photo was - briefly - actually in the number one spot on the Popular page. So that was fun!
