Roll up the sidewalks

For today's Mono Monday challenge (thanks, Carolina, for hosting), the optional theme was Street Scene.
Our village doesn't offer much for that, so I walked to the next bigger city, 15k inhabitants. I arrived at half past 6 in the evening, and was welcomed with the same as at home: the sidewalks were rolled up already.
Nearly empty streets, evening the main road, pictured, was empty, so I saw some people walking where normally loads of cars drive.
