Normanton Church

We popped to see Mrs madwill’s mum again this morning…and had a coffee with her before we set off back ‘north’.

Arrived at the hotel on the edge of Rutland Water early afternoon and had a picnic lunch in the hotel garden.

We then went for a walk along the shore of the lake..passing this beautiful little church located on an ‘island’ in the lake. We also found a buddleia bush that was covered in insects…including, red admiral, peacock and painted lady butterflies! One added in extra.

We stopped for an ice cream on the walk before heading back to the hotel - and our room with a view (2nd extra).

It is our 41st wedding anniversary today…so there may be some bubbles involved with dinner tonight….
