Busy bee!

The bees and butterflies have really enjoyed the Lantana I put in some of my containers this year. I took this after breakfast while we were drinking our coffee out on the patio. Laura was just working a couple of hours today, over lunchtime, so when she got back, the three of us went cycling on the bike trail. However, we weren’t together much of the time, as Roger and I were on the tandem, and Laura wasn’t feeling very energetic, so soon lagged behind, and turned back before we did. Roger called his Dad today - he had just got back the day before from a week back in his homeland of Guernsey, accompanied by Roger’s sister Janet and her husband. It had been a number of years since he’d been back, and at age 93 (it was his birthday while he was over there) he knows it may be his last opportunity. They stayed in a hotel, but much of his time he spent with his younger brother and his wife, while Janet and John went for walks along the cliffs. Unfortunately Roger’s Dad can’t walk very far these days, and what he does is with the aid of a walker. They had a big family celebration for his birthday, and of course Janet and John took him for drives around the island. So he had a good week, but came back very tired.
