From the train

It seems I am the only passenger on the Euston to Glasgow train to be wearing a mask. Is this for my benefit or theirs? For me, contra scientifically. The whole mask wearing thing in London was interesting. In the theatre before the interval I would guess about 70% compliance, after the interval < 40%. Shops, eg John Lewis <10%, the Tube where it’s compulsory around a half. My tolerance levels exponentially increased, there really was no other option especially on the underground in the evening. I will do LFTs for a week or so, notwithstanding they are less than 50 accurate, user error.
Reassuringly a woman with a mask ( she’s just put on a new clean one, although the sides could be better fitting) has just sat diagonally opposite me. I should probably also eat just vegetables for the next couple of days to mitigate my terrible holiday diet which mostly consisted of Greek pastries and excellent coffee.
