Cockthorpe Common

H and I braved the holiday traffic and completed a circular walk from Stiffkey this morning.  After walking along by the marshes, then along the river Stiffkey for a while the path brings you out onto Cockthorpe Common.  It's looking a lot less lush and green than in it did when I blipped it in May, despite all the rain we've had.

Despite it being a relentlessly gloomy day with drizzle we still enjoyed being out in the fresh air.
We saw a roe deer and some spoonbills, but all too far away to capture with my camera.
