Rainy Day Fun

Rainy until late afternoon but we got a lot less than forecast. We took advantage of being inside. My sister put the final touches on the barn quilt that will grace my garage peak. She did a spectacular job and it perfectly matches my actual quilt. She also made “survival bracelets” for some of her nieces and nephews using para cord. I made the rest of the ornaments for my grandchildren that I mentioned yesterday. Each beanie hat is made with their school colors. Three have only attended one school so far but one will receive four ornaments. I have to stuff the tops of the hats with a large cotton ball to fluff them up and find number beads to put dates on the ornaments. Each item made today was formed with love for the recipients. Other than that, Hubby read, practiced his mandolin and napped. My BIL puttered around, napped and made us a delicious fish dinner. We all caught up laundry, cleaned up meals mess and just enjoyed the day. My granddaughter still has some COVID symptoms but they are manageable at home still. Thanks sincerely for your concern, prayers and stars. “He who works with his hands is a laborer. He who works with his hands and his head is a craftsman. He who works with his hands and his head and his heart is an artist.”
