Glasshouses

One nice thing about this being an agricultural college is all the campus variety. Including some amazing greenhouses - this one is opposite our classroom and a super spot for coffee break. Otherwise today we were learning to get flax fibres out of harvested and retted flax. Basically by beating it and then combing it with an assortment of vicious implements. Some had been grown by our tutor and some by one of the students on the course. On the evening a fashion show by course participants - a wonderful array of homespun weavings, dyeing and creativity.
