Squirrel Nutkin
Today we celebrated 30 years of marriage along with my parents who are 28 years ahead of us, so 88 years between us :)
We had planned to go to South Stack for a bit of a walk but both car parks were completely full and the weather was pretty rubbish anyway. So we continued on to Trearddur Bay - also full. By this time it was nearly midday so we eventually found our way to The White Eagle where they very kindly took pity on us and squeezed us in for lunch. We had called ahead last week and were told we didn’t need to book and that they only took walk-ins….not the case at all! Anyway, it was a very nice meal and then we headed back to the site. The “olds” had a nap, I went to see the red squirrels again and the nieces went to the gym and swimming.
In the evening we played board games until nearly midnight and had lots of laughs. It’s so lovely to just spend time together as a family.
Loving this week already, despite the poor weather and difficulties of being three different generations.
