Belvoir Castle

We met J again at Belvoir Castle today and had a walk around the grounds, which are on the side of the hill. The view from the top looking over the Leicestershire countryside was lovely. We decided not to go all the way down to the Duchesses gardens but had a good walk around the rose garden. We even went off-piste when I navigated us down the wrong path! Once we had climbed back to the top we bought a take-away from their cafe and were allowed inside the servants hall to sit down and eat. 

After lunch we parted company with J and then went for a drive around some of the villages, returning home for afternoon tea and a sort out of our photos.
