Magic Tuesday
TSM said last night that it felt like going back to work after a holiday, and I must confess it was a rather brilliant weekend what with partying, dancing, eating, markets, exhibitions and movies, all spent in each other’s company.
Today was magic on a number of levels, although I was on my own for the most part. More good news in the post. Had the apple tree pollarded (google it - I had to). Lovely time in my local coffee shop with cake and a book.
This guy was busking in the town centre whilst I was reading. Lovely accordion playing. I gave him a donation and we talked in sign language and smiles, as neither of us spoke the other’s language.
Good buskers are sent to bring joy to the world, like thoughtful graffiti artists, skilled pavement performers and tasteful street food vendors. Please give generously.
I have a Hay Festival event tonight - Philippe Sands interviewing Leïla Slimani. Looking forward to that… a good way to round off a good day.
