All systems go .....

A busy one today.
A morning spent baling up silage . Kev on carting the bales down from the field, wee brother on wrapping them with plastic.
The combine contractor turned up mid afternoon having finished cutting his own winter barley, ready to make a start on ours.
The crop is now fairly brackled over thanks to all the rain since it was sprayed off with round up. This meant that a fair lot of heads were ending up on the ground rather than the combine tank. Not so good.
By 11 pm tonight we had it all cut. Now just need it to stay dry so I can bale the straw .
Turned the tap on at the back door to find that no water was coming out . So first job in the morning will be to go up to the spring and find out what’s going on. This could be big trouble. Bugger.
