As Promised
Clear early, then rainy but very mild, high in the mid-70 deg F. Call me Rip today. Somehow, I slept until 10:30 am with a short reading period between 7:00-7:15 am. I woke up and took my meds and was going to read for 30 minutes; required time for my meds to work before eating. The guys had cut all the grass and my sister snapped the beans for our dinner while I dreamed of sugar plums. Geez. It started raining so all outdoor plans were put aside. As I promised, here is hibiscus number 2. I took this photo between showers. My sister is such a savvy gardener. She watches for sales after a plant’s prime and readies it for next year’s performance. Her gardens and planters are breathtaking. We learned some exciting news this morning. The city of Wheeling is creating a waterfront park that will be named for a gentleman with our maiden name who started a produce business there in the early twentieth century. We learned years ago from a genealogist that there are very few folks with our last name and we all started in a tiny German town. We checked the phone book and actually found a few still in this part of WV so I guess we’ll see if their ancestors emigrated at the same time as ours. I finished a small sewing project, Hubby practiced his mandolin, my sister worked on blip photos and my BIL napped. We read. A perfect Sunday. Sure hope all you fellow blippers had a great weekend as well. Thanks for the visit. “The very best relationship has a gardener and a flower. The gardener nurtures and the flower blooms.”– Carole Radzi
