Dandelion

Wee surprise of a dandelion flowering in the chuckies, thought it was well past the season for them flowering, but a welcome for colour & for any passing insects.

Gardener hopefully coming tomorrow to cut beech hedge, weather permitting. Spent most of the morning moving pots away from the hedge, although most of them just have weeds at the moment, will make it easier to pick up the cuttings.

Spent some of the afternoon making space to get the garden cuttings thru from the back garden to the street. It's so different from taking a small bucket load to the wheelie bin.

Now feeling a bit restless but the hedge needs done as most of the neighbours have already cut theirs but I wait until into August as birds 2nd nests have fledged away. And I can't do it myself with needing to use a ladder on a slope!
