Lovely friends day
We have had a lovely day today with dear and oldest friends Denise and Graham. They are both now retired, and have spent the week in Norfolk meeting up with different friends who have moved up this way.
We sat in the garden, chatted a lot, had a barbecue with our boys joining us, and generally caught up on news. We did see them in January at dad's funeral, but not for a proper catch up. It has been so nice.
It showered a bit so we moved in doors but once it had dried up, we went for a walk round the village, dropping in on the allotment on the way. That blooming white hen is still broody, so I turfed her out.
Denise gave me lots of ideas for our kitchen, which we hope is a project that will start in November, when we have a builder coming to knock down the wall. Great to get other ideas, and will be thinking more about whether we keep the back door or not.
They left just after 9, to drive back to Denise's brothers house in Dereham where they have been staying for the week. We hope to visit them in their own lovely home soon.
